High-resolution images through hyperspectral imaging (HSI) technology provide researchers and users with completely new information on the state of plants and soil. More than 150 color channels – conventional color cameras offer only three: red, green and blue – ensure high detail accuracy and enable even the finest differences to be identified and analyzed.
Embedded vision systems equipped with HSI sensors can determine the content and distribution of water, nitrogen, leaf pigments and other factors and nutrients in plants and soils. This data provides information on the homogeneity of the cultivated crops and allows nutrients to be used in a sparing, targeted way.
The compact design of the Photonfocus sensors and ready-to-use complete systems, which are also equipped with GenICam and GigE Vision standards for data transfer, makes them easy to integrate into different applications. Furthermore, they are available with integrated processors for direct onboard data evaluation, enabling results to be visualized and processed immediately.
