Fast results for in/out decisions

In/out decisions place the highest demands on technology: When multiple cameras spread across large distances are used, the data they record has to be transmitted to a central processing unit extremely quickly. Only then can referees and umpires make decisions within seconds, ensuring the shortest possible interruptions to the game and transparent and fair decisions.

Photonfocus imaging systems were designed for exactly these applications. They enable onboard data analysis in real time or transmit compressed image information to a computer using the QuadRate (QR) and DoubleRate (DR) technology developed by Photonfocus – via a 10 GigE interface, but at up to four times the speed of conventional cameras.

Thanks to their modular design, the sensors can be integrated in numerous applications or are used as standalone ready-to-use solutions.
